Denbak's theoretical training with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Masters of Business Administration and a professional designation as a Chartered Accountant combined with her practical business experience, promote effective partnerships with her clients to set strategic direction and most importantly ensure that this direction can be executed effectively for measurable  results.

She has served in many capacities within the tourism industry including as a Director of the International Association
of Convention and Visitors' Bureaus, as a Director of the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympic Bid and as a member of the Tourism Industry Advisory Group for the Province of British Columbia.

In addition to being on the Board of the 2010 Olympic Bid, Denbak was a member of the 2010 Olympic Bid Tourism Marketing Committee and the Olympic Bid Finance Committee. She also chaired the Whistler Olympic Accommodation Task Force.

Within Whistler, she led many resort wide initiatives including the development of a comprehensive resort branding
strategy, the establishment of an economic model for measuring the value of the tourism economy and the development of a resort
wide festivals and events strategy.

As an ardent advocate for the importance of sustainable tourism, Denbak was one of the leaders of the community wide introduction of the Natural Step framework into Whistler and sat on the founding Board of the Whistler Centre for Sustainability. She has spoken at numerous conferences regarding sustainable tourism.

Denbak's experience in land use planning and development is also extensive. Responsible for approvals, permitting, design and construction of both the Metro Toronto Convention Centre expansion and the renovation of the Whistler Conference Centre, her marketing background and passion for sustainability create unique design features that provide distinct competitive advantage while her financial skills ensure on time and on budget project delivery.

Regionally she has participated in strategic land use planning for Crown lands on behalf of the tourism sector successfully negotiating with other land users to ensure secure access to the land in support of a healthy and viable tourism industry.
